Do you have a special talent? One that could win you a school talent show?
Well, Penny sure thought that she knew her talent, but boy was she wrong. Penny started making a list of her talents but as she tried each one she had to mark them out because she wasn't quite as good as she thought. After tuba playing, juggling, yodeling, baton twirling, and jump roping didn't quite work out she had to become even more creative. When her next fifteen choices didn't pan out, Penny got a little upset and went to hide in the closet. She was not alone though, her dog, Jelly was there for her and they sat and sang together. Right then, Penny knew what she wanted to do for her talent, and it included Jelly. Will they win the talent show? Read this fun book to find out how this ends.
I love this book because it shows that it is okay to try different things and it's okay to fail. Penny learns not to give up even if you get down. Penny also learns what it means to have a best friend!
